Bad News for Eastern Europe
Thursday, December 21, 2006
Its been already 15 years since Eastern European soccer has been a victim of untalented foreign players. What is the system, the French, German and Brazilian players are not accepted in any club in their own country so they start looking for something abroad. What a better place than E.Europe. Here is why, the player are treated like superstars in E.Europe. they get tons of money because they are foreign and presidents of the clubs think that they deserve more, they drive the best cars and live in the best houses. Nothing wrong with that but at least let the players play good soccer, nope they don’t they actually suck and often they just stay for 1 year and leave. Why is this hurting the Bulgarian soccer because the talents from Bulgaria are being forgotten. Instead of investing in Bulgarian youth players we invest in old and terrible foreign players. That’s my opinion.

The Winter Has Come
Sunday, December 10, 2006
The winter has come which means less soccer. All the leagues are closing down soon only the English leagues will continue and that is the way its supposed to be. They are the most interesting once. I personally think that soccer soon will become all year long sport because of the money they make and that people want more and more. However they want more quality which is missing now a days in the world of soccer. Soccer has become the leading sport in the last 40 years and it wont change. Its is a culture and a way of living. I am excited about the Euro qualifications which are coming in March because that’s when we will see which teams will be probably going to the European Championship which is in 2008. I hope Bulgaria goes to it and finally makes something remarkable because people in Bulgaria are tired of years without a success with the national team.

Superb Berbatov!
Sunday, November 26, 2006
WOW!Dimitar Berbatov proved one more time that he is one of the best players in the world right now. Earlier this week Dimitar scored a goal against his old team Bayer in UEFA Cup and he qualified Spurs to the next phase. Today he was amazing again and he scored a goal against Wigan and he assisted for another two goals. What can we conclude?Dimitar its getting his form back and I would like to see what will happen next week against Arsenal. I predict at least one goal from Berbatov and Spurs to get the win which will be not a surprise.

I Am Proud Of Loko Sofia
Thursday, November 23, 2006
My favorite soccer team in Bulgaria is Lokomotiv Sofia and I just want to tell you that I am proud of them because they brought the happiness back to me. After ten years of exile we are back on the European scene and we almost kicked out major soccer team. Well let me tell you we will be back in 2007 and Lokomotiv Sofia will get into the groups of UEFA cup no matter what people say. It’s a fact we have the second best team in Bulgaria and just the lack of confidence keeps us from getting the first place. The next year will be very interesting for Loko and how they will do in the second half of the season. I hope they keep their form up and I hope that we don’t sell anyone in the winter break because we need to get into the groups of UEFA this time. That’s it, thank you IRONS!

Rumors About CSKA Sofia
Monday, November 20, 2006
Well as you know I am not a big fan of CSKA Sofia but they are a Bulgarian club and there is a lot of interesting things going on with them. First of all the owner owns the biggest betting company in Bulgaria called Eurofootball which speaks many things. Also I was surprised why CSKA is loosing points and now I know, its because of gambling interests. Its all over the world, so Bulgaria wont be exception. Also there is rumors that Mital a huge business man who deals with metal is about to buy CSKA, however I don’t think this will happen because the current owner doesn’t have interest to sell his team at the moment because there are many players he can make money off. We will live and see but what I am thinking is that the owner of CSKA will give his some the major market shares and he will control the team. It makes sense to give it to his son however his son doesn’t know anything about soccer, imagine controlling a soccer team. Funny things happen in Bulgarian soccer

Interesting Final Weeks
Sunday, November 12, 2006
I am looking forward to the end of the Bulgarian A Group half season because I want to see what kind of funny things will happen in it. Well we have the Bulgarian Cup which will bring many “surprises” which means some teams will sell their games in order to survive and some just for the money because their plans don’t include the cup so they just decide to make the best of it. We will see but believe me it will be very interesting.

I Dont Like This Soccer
Friday, November 10, 2006
When I was a small kid around 7-8 years old I was a huge fan of the Champions League. Oh by what kind of games I watched. I remember all the small details about everything. However that is not the point, the point is that the soccer now doesn’t have to do anything with the soccer before 10 years. The soccer was different we had players like Romario Ronaldo and many more. How about the greatest defender Franco Baresi…or the great Edvin van der Saar, playing for Ajax. Well now soccer is all about the money and its terrible, especially Chelsea they are ridiculous. They bought so many players and nothing. Thanks Roman you are great but not in soccer. The fact that you spent so much money on players that didn’t even get one goal (Shevchenko) its saying that you should leave this sport. I loved Premiership until Roman came because it became so boring, nothing new, we know who is the champ and that’s it. Boring very boring, look the Championship its great also I like UEFA cup because simple teams play for pride not for money. If soccer continues that way it will end up bad

Bulgarian Soccer
Tuesday, November 07, 2006
Why the Bulgarian soccer isn’t the same as Belgium or even Greek? That’s the question that makes me crazy. Lets look in geographical point of view, Bulgaria its in Europe so this means that the talents are almost the same. Here comes the problem, in Bulgaria every talent has been successfully shut down by the Bulgarian Reality. It’s a fact that if you don’t have money to give to bribe the coach or someone higher in the club where your kid plays he will never go to play. Not to mention that the circumstances are terrible and who wants to play soccer with ripped balls from the 90`s on a field that looks like a tomato garden. It’s a very bad situation right now in Bulgaria and people ask why there isn’t a good national team? Because the players of the “national” team have been helped to get there either with connections or money. Managerial interests play huge role and the coach Soichkov is working for the managers because they give him money to put certain players in so they sell the player outside Bulgaria.

Bulgarians Abroad part 2
Saturday, October 28, 2006
The problem is that when they come back from abroad they think they are the stars in the Bulgarian team which now they are playing for but that’s not true. They are old and often they do not listen to the coach because they think they are superior than him. And that’s is one of the reasons why the Bulgarian soccer has been going down because people still hire those old and saggy players that just suck. It’s a fact all they want is money and to show how much they have of them in clubs around Sofia or other Bulgarian cities.
Well that’s not how you build a strong soccer in a country.

Bulgarians Abroad
Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Hey people as you know many Bulgarian players are playing abroad which means that they have achieved their dream. However they aren’t that happy. Well if you look at Berbatov or Stilian Petrov or Martin Petrov, yea they are the stars in their teams and they are pretty happy with their situation. However there are players like Georgi Peev in Dynamo Kiev who have been victims of their attitude and now they don’t even get playing time for the reserves. As you know you have to have the right attitude towards the game if you want to play. Many coaches have said that Bulgarian players aren’t easy to deal with which is the problem for them in first place. Many careers have been terminated because of their attitude and pride. Now the situation with those players is the following: Either they go back to Bulgaria to play for an average team or they just quit soccer...
To be continued.

Champions League Time!
Monday, October 16, 2006
Ok tomorrow Machday 3 starts in the Champions League!Lots of games in the next two days. I am thinking of some surprises which I will share with you today.
Dynamo - Lyon "2"
Lyon is showing very good form they beat their rivals last season game so they are in shape to win the game. They are the favourite, but there can be some troubles for them if the Ukranians believe in themselves. However believing will not make them a more skilfull team. I have to say 2!
Steaua - Real Madrid "x"
Steaua is welcoming Real with the hope to win at least a point. Is this possible?Sure it is Real is playing like a high school soccer team so I think Steaua can at least get a point. Its going to be crazy at the stadium, totally sold out!Prediction X
Celtic - Benfica "1"
If Celtic wants to advance to the next stage they better win with at least 2 goals. Benfica is going to fight against the attackers of Celtic which haven`t done almost anything this season. Benfica is doing alright and this game will be interesting my prediction is a 1 but not an easy one!
Man United - Kobenhavn "1"
Probably the most secure sign I have today. Manchester will win with at least 3 goals difference. Kobenhavn has alot to learn untill they get to the level of the Red Devils!Prediction 1
Cska - Arsenal "x"
This game will be one of the most intersting once. Arsenal is going to Moscow where the winter came already and they are going to play at temperatures bellow zero. CSKA has very good attack with Vagner Love who is playing well for the national team for Brazil. This game will be probably scoreless but interesting. Prediction x
Porto - Hamburg "1"
Porto has seen better years, however now they have the opportunity to win some 3 points which at least will guarantee them a place in the UEFA Cup. Hamburg is the same regular team which we all know. Nothing special about them, they kicked out Sevilia from the Champions League, and its going to be interesting game however I am thinking 1.
Lille - AEK "1"
Lille will have an easy game. The Greeks are total outsider outside of Greece which is a common thing for the teams from this region of Europe. I am predicting a win with 2 goals for the French side. Prediction 1
Andrlecht - Milan "2"
Every year Anderlecht is playing in the Champions League, however they never achieve anything special. Maybe is the selection they do every year or coaches or something but they arent really leaving remarkable things behind them. Not to say that there hasnt been a Belgian team in the Champions League 1/4 finals probably 10 years (I am sorry if I am wrong). Milan is going out to win of course to break the bad run with all tied games. Milan will win with 1 goal difference.
Tomorrow night I will post my predictions for the Wed. games!

Atletico Madrid to forget about Martin Petrov!
Sunday, October 15, 2006
This Saturday Atletico Madrid beat Recreativo 2-1. However there wasnt any happines after the games since one of Atletico main players Martin Petrov got seriously injured. He got a knee injury which will take him off the field for at least 6 months which means he will miss all the season in Premiera and 2 of the important Bulgaria games in spring time. He will be operated asap but the recovery will be very long. We are talking here about one of the best players in the Premiera, he never really got any chance to shine as he did inWolfsburg and the national team. This brings another problem for the Bulgarian team since the other Petrov quit earlier this week. I wish Martin quick recovery and we are waiting him to beack on the field at spring time!

Stenli says Bye!
What a surprise that was!Stoichkov better start do some real work instead of having fights with his players all the time. Believe me the right coach for the Bulgarian national team has to be from outside Bulgaria. There were some speculations that Fatih Terim was going to be the new coach but I doubt it. Bulgaria club football has been rising for the last 3 years now the national team has to show why they are called the national team of Bulgaria.

WOW!Beckham out of the English squad!Big Mistake!
How everything started: Before when Sven Goran Ericsson was the head coach of the English team, things were going alright at least from the outside. However as the time passed we started to see some changes in the team performances.Something was going totally wrong for the English national team (which includes players that get millions and millions of dollars/euros/punds just to do their job). World Cup 2002 Brazil kicked England out in the 1/4 finals. Well the Euro 2004 passed, nothing from England. The World Cup 2006 and again nothing! Is it bad luck? Not really.
David Beckham on the other hand after leaving Manchester United, its not the same player. Now there isnt anything in Beckham that would suggest he is a player for millions. He rearly gets playing time in Real Madrid, and he focuses more on his private life rather the proffecional one.
The problem in this case is Steve Mclaren! He is probably the luckiest guy in the earth. I dont see any reason why would he become the coach for the English national team! He made a "revolution" in Boro. Right final for UEFA, but what a final 4-0!How about Boro in the Premiership?Fighting to save their position in Premier. Mclaren also was the assistant coach for England several years and he didnt bring too many good things to the team. And now he is the head coach! No way! There were at the time coaches like Fabio Capello, Klinsmann, even if you want Maurinho!I know this sounds stupid but believe me if they offered the right amount of money all of the coaches I mentioned were going to accept.
Croatia?Yes another nightmare for England. They lost 2-0 in Maksimir and this is probably the worst time to loose since Macedonia also is gaining power. The problems in the English national team are going to be solved when Mclaren LEAVES and Beckham comes back!Is he the best player? No!However Beckham has been with the team for many years and has alot of expirience comapre to some other players which are wearing the national jeresy for the three lions.
Mclaren proved to me that he is nothing but a below average coach who doesnt have the guts to admit that there is something wrong in the English national team for several years.
Will England go to Euro 2008 pretty sure they will. Will they win it, pretty sure NO!
The reasoning behind this statment is that you cannot have players like CROUCH and hope to win.CROUCH must be thrown out of the team asap!Probably the worst attacker ever!If Rooney starts to score OMG there will be noone to stop him. If Gerrard and Terry and all the others play like they play for their clubs England will come back at their place. Top of the world.
